BookMachine Press Release

We are delighted to announce that emc design will be sponsoring the next BookMachine event on 27th February. And as part of that evening we will be launching a very exciting new business avenue for us. But you’ll have to be at the event if you want to be the first to find out about it, so make sure you get a ticket!

PRESS RELEASE FROM BOOKMACHINE

Three cities, three speakers, one night
After the success of BookMachine Everywhere in September; BookMachine is back again, this time in three cities – London, Oxford and Barcelona.

The aim of the evening is to encourage top industry figures to share some of their experience, and to help promote the collaborative nature of publishing. Speakers are invited along to talk openly about their publishing experiences and the big projects they’ve worked on. The focus is on what they’ve done well, what they’ve learned, and what they’ll do differently next time.

Speakers include Matthew Cashmore, Digital Director at Blackwells following up on his talks at the Futurebook conference and SYP conferences late last year.

In London, Jacks Thomas, Director of The London Book Fair will be the headline act; and will no doubt be sharing some thoughts around the newly launched London Book Fair awards.

BookMachine.me, the platform for discovering people in publishing is proving to be a valuable tool with Authoright, Cambridge Publishing Solutions and EMC Design all using it successfully. BookMachine.me was funded by seed funding from the British Council YCE programme.

Laura Austin, co-founder of BookMachine, said: ‘We’re really pleased with the way that our events have taken off both in the UK and internationally. Not only are they informative, enjoyable evenings but we have witnessed a number of partnerships take off, as a result of connections made at our events’.
