eMC’s favourite children’s books

Katy, one of our designers, has recently had a new baby and as a company that loves books Karen came up with the brilliant idea of sending all our favourite children’s books to the new family. So we thought it would be nice to share each of our choices. The Ahlberg’s seem to be a general favourite – and rightly so!

John – We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen

Karen – Peepo! by Janet and Allan Ahlberg

Cheryl – The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson

Lindsey – The Jolly Postman by Janet and Allan Ahlberg

Diane – The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr

Mike – Burglar Bill by Janet and Allan Ahlberg

Dale – Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell

Amy – George Speaks by Dick King-Smith

Gavin – The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle

Ben – Where’s Spot? by Eric Hill

Sophie – The BFG by Roald Dahl

Helen – Five Minutes Peace by Jill Murphy

Erika – Tales from Beatrix Potter

Duncan – Go the F**k to Sleep by Adam Mansbach (Not sure about this one Duncan!!)

Mark – Oor Wullie Annual published in The Sunday Post

Been a while since I read a children’s book … but from memory I’d go with Gavin; the Very Hungry Caterpillar sticks in my mind. Though Alice in Wonderland was pretty inspriational too!
